Record Video While Reading a Script on iPhone or iPad
Use the app's camera mode to keep the script and recording in one place. Make a short test before the full take, and distinguish controls that move the text from controls that pause video capture.
Before the first take
- Open the correct script and choose the camera and orientation you intend to use.
- Allow camera and microphone access. Check the sound by recording and playing back a sample.
- Place the active text near the lens and adjust its size from your recording distance.
- For voice mode, select the language and finish speech-model preparation. For fixed speed, rehearse the pace.
Pause the right thing
The primary recording control starts or pauses capture together with text playback. Secondary text controls and manual repositioning do not pause capture. In voice mode, silence can stop the script while the recording timer continues.
After a break, return to a clear sentence and resume deliberately. Paused segments are combined when the recording is finished. A text reset is not a request to discard a video take. Watch the capture indicator before leaving the frame.
Finish, review and share
Finish the recording and wait for it to save. Open it in Recordings, play the beginning and ending, then check every pause and join. Export or share only once the sound and framing are right.
If the script reaches its end, confirm whether the camera is still recording. If a saved video appears silent, check microphone permission and the audio route with another short sample before repeating the full script. Subtitles can help viewers follow, but cannot repair missing speech in the audio.
